A flat pattern is usually cut to net size dimensions. These blanks can go on to be formed into various shapes or remain a finished part in the flat state. Our flat pattern processes can cut many types of sheet metal including; Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy, etc.
Perforated sheets are another one Compucraft’s specialties. We can supply the sheets in the flat state or forming using one of our many forming processes.
WATER JET
A Water Jet uses an ultra-high-pressure stream of water mixed with an abrasive grit. The abrasive does the cutting through the material. Waterjet is an incredibly versatile process as it can the cut through nearly all type of metals of varying thicknesses.
Our Water Jet process can handle sheets up to 36” wide x 120” long.
TURRET PUNCH
A turret punch or turret press is a type of punch press used for cutting flat patterns punching. Using different configurations and sizes of punch/die combinations just about any configuration can be achieved using this process.
Our Turret Punch process can handle sheet up to 48” wide x 144” long.
LASER
Laser (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is another process of creating flat patterns at Compucraft. Although not nearly at popular to use as a Water Jet or Turret Punch, the laser is an extremely effective method for cutting large blanks of extremely thin material.
Our Laser cutting process can handle sheets up to 48” wide x 144” long.
